2. Who can I contact to ensure I receive all future Leading Edge Telecom catalogues?
Catalogues can be distributed either via email or by post. To subscribe to our email catalogue please click here. To be placed on a mailing list to receive catalogues in the mail, please contact your nearest store by calling 133 402 or go to our store and trading hours page.
3. Why can't I purchase something that's in your current catalogue?
Each Leading Edge Telecoms store is independently owned and operated so the person who owns the business runs the business. Whenever we advertise we make every effort to ensure there is sufficient stock to meet the expected demand. However, there are times when the demand is far greater than anticipated and we sincerely regret these instances. If you see an item in one of our catalogues which you would like and it is unavailable instore simply ask and we will be able to arrange for the phone to be delivered instore for you.
4. My phone is not working who do I contact?
Simply take you phone into the store from where you purchased it and they will send it back to the manufacturer for repair on your behalf.
5. My mobile phone is blocked, how do I unblock it?
You may have entered an incorrect PIN. Contact 125 111 for the unlocking code. Note: repeated attempts to unblock a blocked SIM card with an incorrect code will destroy the SIM card and may incur a fee of $33 for replacement
6. How can I arrange to use my GSM mobile phone overseas?
Before you go overseas, we strongly recommend that you call Telstra Mobile Customer Service on 125 111 to ensure you have International Roaming access to the overseas networks/countries you need to use your GSM mobile phone
7. What's the difference between Next G and 3G?
Next G is Telstra's own third generation or 3G network operating on a different bandwidth to existing 3G services.
8. What' happened to the CDMA network?
Telstra will be phased out the CDMA mobile service. On October 06 2006, Telstra launched the Next G third generation mobile network on the 850 mHz range which offers many new benefits such as the ability to use exciting video services and download and view content services faster than on the CDMA mobile network. See the "What's New" section of our website for more information on Next G services
9. I don't want a plan - can I just buy the phone outright?
Yes. Rather than pay the phone off interest free over a period of time, you can elect to purchase the phone outright for the prices on our website. Eg, a phone advertised at $0 upfront and $28.30 per month for 24 months can be purchased outright for $679. For more information, call your nearest Leading Edge Telecoms store on 133 402
10. I have a question about my bill - who should I call?
We do not bill customers, this comes directly from Telstra. To speak with a Telstra Representative regarding your mobile phone call 125 111*, for home phone billing queries call 13 22 00 or for Broadband billing queries just call 13 POND (13 7663). *Calls to this number will incur a 25c flat fee.
12. What is Bluetooth?
Bluetooth is an industry-standard term for a low power short-range radio link for connecting electronic devices. Mobile phones, laptops and digital cameras equipped with Bluetooth can share data such as phone numbers, calendar events and digital images within a range of about 10 metres. Neither cables nor line of sight infra-red are needed.
13. My phone is asking for a PUK code – what’s a PUK code and where can I get it from?
PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) is a code used to release your mobile’s blocked SIM card. A PUK code is displayed if there has been 3 or more unsuccessful attempts at unlocking your phone’s PIN. PUK codes can be obtained from your network or service provider. If you are currently with the Telstra network, simply call 125 111 to retrieve your PUK code.
